Changelog
What changed, and when
Two things change independently: the editor build (tracked against the upstream PhotoCraft releases) and this site (written here). Both are listed below.
- v1.0.0 Site
- PhotoPSD launches as a bilingual site (English at the root, Chinese under /zh) with hreflang pairs on every content page.
- The editor is mounted at /editor, so upstream builds can be dropped in without touching the site.
- Three task pages shipped: PSD to PNG, opening a PSD without Photoshop, and a free-alternative comparison.
- Blog, FAQ, changelog and the legal pages (privacy, terms, contact, licences) are in place for search and for advertising review.
- Sitemap, robots.txt, structured data (SoftwareApplication, FAQPage, HowTo, BlogPosting, BreadcrumbList) and per-page Open Graph tags generated at build time.
- v0.20.2 Editor
- Baseline editor build, following the upstream PhotoCraft 0.20.2 release, compiled from source to WebAssembly.
- Layer stacks with blend modes, groups, layer styles and clipping; non-destructive layer masks and adjustment layers.
- Selections and transforms: marquee, lasso, magic wand, quick selection, free transform, crop.
- RGB channels and alpha editing, plus editable vector paths.
- Layered PSD and PSB read and write; PNG, JPEG and WebP export.
- WebGPU compositing, so large canvases stay responsive.
Planned
Committed work, not wishful thinking. Order may change if upstream changes.
- Follow upstream releases: rebuild and redeploy automatically on every tagged version.
- Tutorial series with downloadable sample files, so the blog can be followed hands-on.
- Keyboard shortcut reference, printable, per platform.
- Simplified Chinese UI for the editor itself — waiting on upstream internationalisation.
